چکیده
Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus (VLS) is a chronically inflammatory disorder that requires early diagnosis and long-term follow-up for successful therapy prevention of malignancy. In this paper, we propose multimodal optical coherence tomography (MM OCT) as non-invasive diagnostic technique advanced VLS. The MM OCT provides 3D real-time visualization the vulvar skin structure with high spatial resolution, well label-free blood lymphatic vessels. Normal according to characterized by layered structure, clear boundary between epidermis dermis. Dermis contains inclusions background signal corresponding A dense lymph vessels networks are visualized angiography. Early VLS moderate thickness intensity due backscattering stratum corneum. has structures such thickened collagen fibers, dilated cells. dermal–epidermal junction less contrasting. Decreased density detected Primarily, subepidermal disappear. Advanced atrophic scattering low contrast; disrupted. dermis loses its usual formation pathognomonic areas homogenization does not backscatter light looks like signal. Blood on ability structural changes in stages been demonstrated first time.

Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus et Atrophicus
Vulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS) is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis characterized by ivory-white plaques or patches with glistening surface commonly affecting the vulva and anus. Common symptoms are irritation, soreness, dyspareunia, dysuria, and urinary or fecal incontinence. Anogenital lichen sclerosus (LS) is characterized by porcelain-white atrophic plaques, which may become confluent extend...
متن کاملLichen Sclerosus: Incidence and Risk of Vulvar Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
BACKGROUND The association between lichen sclerosus and vulvar squamous cell carcinoma (VSCC) has long been recognized, but large epidemiologic studies are lacking. METHODS Data of women diagnosed with vulvar pathology in the Netherlands were retrieved from the Dutch Pathology Registry. All vulvar pathology reports of this historical cohort were reviewed to construct a research database, incl...

INTERVENTIONS Patients were thoroughly examined on presentation and 30 days after their first visit, with swept-sour...
متن کاملRecognition and management of vulvar dermatologic conditions: lichen sclerosus, lichen planus, and lichen simplex chronicus.
Lichen sclerosus, lichen planus, and lichen simplex chronicus are dermatologic conditions that can affect the vulva. Symptoms include vulvar itching, irritation, burning, and pain, which may be chronic or recurrent and can lead to significant physical discomfort and emotional distress that can affect mood and sexual relationships. With symptoms similar to common vaginal infections, women often ...
متن کاملNon-Invasive Detection of Early Retinal Neuronal Degeneration by Ultrahigh Resolution Optical Coherence Tomography
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has revolutionises the diagnosis of retinal disease based on the detection of microscopic rather than subcellular changes in retinal anatomy. However, currently the technique is limited to the detection of microscopic rather than subcellular changes in retinal anatomy. However, coherence based imaging is extremely sensitive to both changes in optical contrast ...
